This started as a DVD queue list for a friend.
It grew and grew and took on a life of its own. Oh well.

Program – Tragic beauty
One day, try and find something by the English band, "The Legendary Pink Dots."
I first saw "Death in Venice" (Italian, English, Polish, French) when I was in college, and it blew me away. Not quite so moving now that I'm older, but still a great movie.
My dad and a friend of his saw "Leaving Las Vegas"as a very dark comedy. Too bleak for me. Nicolas Cage's and Elizabeth Shue's performances elevate the movie past the deep depressing story.
This is where we suggest DVDs that we have seen and liked or that friends /family may have missed. We try not to review them so much as give an impression, as if we were talking about the movie. Essentially, "You gotta watch this one." Programs are two DVDs that watched back-to-back seem to have greater resonance than watching them one at a time.
