A lot of my favorite movies romanticize violence as an authentic response to brutal authority – the person of integrity stands up by taking reluctant but necessary action. These two absurdist masterpieces show up such cheap catharsis.Watch the Academy Award winning “No Man’s Land” (Bosnian/English/French/German/Serbian) and “No Country for Old Men” in that order. “No Man’s Land” put me in the right frame of mind to get “No Country for Old Men” in a way I didn't in the theater.
