Super Fly

As good as any introduction to black exploitation movies of the 1970's, "Super Fly" has all the right elements: handheld cameras, unmatched film stock, an amazing custom Cadillac El Dorado (borrowed from a pimp who played the part of a [get this] pimp).

Old plot -- our man Priest wants to do one last deal before he takes the money and gets out of the life. Curtis Mayfield revived his career with his wonderful soundtrack (maybe better than James Brown's soundtrack for "Black Caesar" and much better than Isaac Hayes' soundtrack for "Shaft").

If you like it, there are so many more like this. I still like this one the best.
