Wolf

I've rediscovered Mike Nichols after realizing that I like his movies. I think that I lost it during his transition from enfant terrible to a mere talented and thoughtful filmmaker. Anyway, "Wolf" features an almost subdued Jack Nicholson as decent and kind editor who turns into a werewolf as the movie unfolds.

Good werewolf story, thoughtful, fun James Spader acting, every other actor doing well; "Wolf" goes where it needs to go, without bombast or surprise. Enjoyable, especially if you like horror without slashing and gore.
