When I first read Patricia Highsmith's "The Cry of the Owl" (French), it seemed like it could never be a movie. This version by the Claude Chabrol who passed away last week showed how wrong I could be.

This started as a DVD queue list for a friend. It grew and grew and took on a life of its own. Oh well.
Here's the deal:
This is where we suggest DVDs that we have seen and liked or that friends /family may have missed. We try not to review them so much as give an impression, as if we were talking about the movie. Essentially, "You gotta watch this one."
