"Wag the Dog" has too many things going for it to not be a classic. It has more quotable lines than "Office Space" or "Caddyshack"; it cuts closer to the bone than "Manchurian Candidate" or any of Oliver Stone's presidential biographies; yet it's too cool and cynical and smart to achieve the popular cult that those other movies have.
