Oh what a baroque and wonderful hubbub of a movie this is. No hard-boiled detective story will outdo this. It’s dark and fun and calculated. Watch it.

This is where we suggest DVDs that we have seen and liked or that friends /family may have missed. We try not to review them so much as give an impression, as if we were talking about the movie. Essentially, "You gotta watch this one."
