Straight Time

I forgot that Dustin Hoffman is one of the greatest actors in film history; he has been around so long. A performance like this lets you forgive "Meet the Fockers".

In this movie, you see what Hoffman's character, Max Dembo, is thinking, just by watching Hoffman. You don't hear him speak, you just watch him walk around Los Angeles, newly released from prison, and you just know what Dembo is thinking.

Features early or first performances by young Theresa Russell, Garey Busey and Kathy Bates. Scary Harry Dean Stanton part.
